How you can take part

Angels in our Town is part of the annual Festival of Lights Southern Highlands. A street parade in Bowral will be held on 2 December 2023 at 7.00pm to honour and celebrate the unsung heroes of our communities who serve us. First Responders, Frontline Workers, Service Organisations, Volunteers. Our Angels.

Escorting these remarkable people along Bong Bong Street will be 250 children dressed as angels who will give small messages of joy to spectators along the parade. The parade will conclude with a concert in Corbett Gardens.

We are looking for people to participate in the whole event, to get excited, roll up their sleeves and help us to bring this wonderful event to the Southern Highlands. If you feel that you may be able to help us in any way through using your own talents or experience we would be very grateful.

LOCAL BUSINESS

Local businesses will be offered Angel Wings to wear during the month of December. Contact us below to get your wings.

VOLUNTEER

We also need volunteers on the day of the Parade. We need people to to be leaders of the different groups, people to be on radios to keep abreast of safety and care of children, and people to help manage crowd access to Corbett Gardens.

Angels in Our Town is part of the annual Festival of Lights Southern Highlands. It is being supported by Wingecarribee Shire Council, Business Southern Highlands and by the Southern Highlands Community Foundation, who are providing administrative and financial support.
